Job Description

  • Collect, receive, label, and process patient specimens (blood, urine, stool, sputum, and other body fluids).
  • Perform laboratory investigations in:
    • Hematology
    • Clinical Biochemistry
    • Microbiology
    • Serology/Immunology
    • Clinical Pathology
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory analyzers and equipment.
  • Perform internal quality control (IQC) and follow quality assurance procedures.
  • Verify and accurately record laboratory results in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
  • Report critical test results promptly to the concerned physician.
  • Maintain laboratory records, registers, and documentation.
  • Follow infection prevention, biosafety, and biomedical waste management protocols.
  • Ensure proper storage and inventory of laboratory reagents and consumables.
  • Assist pathologists and clinicians in specialized investigations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
